About Us

The Intelligent Database (IDB) group at the Institute of Informatics of  Bonn University has been founded in 1992, when Prof. Manthey came to Bonn. Our current main area of research can be called "database analytics". We are applying rule-based techniques in a relational DB context mainly to the analysis of data streams, using methods from active, deductive and temporal databases.
